Control Low Strength Material
Flowable Fill or Controlled Low Strength Material (CLSM) is a material that is placed as high flowable materials (sometimes with self-leveling properties) and rapidly develops excellent load-bearing properties with no compaction. The strength of CLSM is usually low compared with concrete, and it ranges between 0.7 to 8 Mpa. Flowable fill (CLSM) is typically used for backfilling, retaining walls, void-filling applications such as tunnels, sewers, tanks, and to fix problems originating from poorly compacted soil or granular fill, which can cause stress on an underground pipe.
